|Rescue Me ID: 15-08-22-00354Fisher (male)|
Fisher is great hound that needs room to run and be outside. He is very loyal and submissive to his owner. He like to chase squirrels and sniff trees.
Madison County Huntsville, AL MAP IT!
|Rescue Me ID: 15-07-19-00347Samson (male)|
Samson was saved from being put to sleep at the last minute...literally! He only has one eye but it doesn't slow him down. He was so skinny when we got him that he couldn't walk on his own and he only weighed 35 pounds! Now, 4 months later, he weights about 75 pounds and loves to wrestle with his playmates! Samson is VERY sweet and loves other animals and people. He will defend himself against another dog if they start the fight but he has never started trouble on his own. Samson is leash trained and does pretty well. Nobody seems to want him because of his hound dog howl/bark and because he only has one eye. :( Samson is VERY deserving of a loving, forever home! Please consider adding him to your family! (Less)

Bloodhound Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. Bloodhounds are extremely good natured dogs that are exceptionally patient and gentle with children. Bloodhounds love affection and attention. Bloodhounds have a stubborn streak and a mind of their own; they need firm training and discipline. Bloodhounds are friendly and devoted to their masters. Bloodhounds are prized for their ability to follow any scent; this makes them likely to wander off if not kept on a leash. Bloodhounds need daily exercise but are fairly laid back indoors and so do okay in an apartment as long as they have regular opportunities to be active and take walks.
