We rescued Buford for a lady. She stated he had been adopted out 4 different times and thinks he had been abused. When we got him home he ran away the first 3 days we had him. We put him on a zip line the first week until he would let us per him. We worked with him and loves on him till he loves us back. We run a business from our house and now he will not let anyone come in the yard without jumping on them and trying to bite them. He has not broke the skin on anyone but has knocked people down and bruised them. . He is very loving to my family but he is very protective. We have a small child and teenagers that he loves. We don't know how to break him from biting people and we hate to have to let him go but we can't have him attacking people. (Less)

Buddy was abandoned and i don't know why! he is so sweet and loyal! housebroken has been neutered and is good with other animals! really has taken to me and pretty much goes where i go and loves car rides!!! would be a great companion for a retired person! i would like someone who has some land for him to roam as if i go out the fence he is a fence jumper, so if he had a large piece of land that would be safer for him. please someone he is a one in a million dog! give him a loveing and deserving home!

Bloodhound Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. Bloodhounds are extremely good natured dogs that are exceptionally patient and gentle with children. Bloodhounds love affection and attention. Bloodhounds have a stubborn streak and a mind of their own; they need firm training and discipline. Bloodhounds are friendly and devoted to their masters. Bloodhounds are prized for their ability to follow any scent; this makes them likely to wander off if not kept on a leash. Bloodhounds need daily exercise but are fairly laid back indoors and so do okay in an apartment as long as they have regular opportunities to be active and take walks.
