Meet Elvis!! He's not yet a year old and a very cute hound mix. Has nice manners too! If you are interested in this dog/puppy and want additional information (Still available?? Anything not contained in current description??). All adult dogs adopted from shelter are bathed and dipped, given all shots, including rabies, are spayed or neutered and have been tested for the presence of heart worms before leaving the shelter. Adoption fee is $50 for puppies too young for rabies vaccinations and $65 for dogs old enough to be vaccinated for Rabies. Dogs being adopted out of state (to rescue organizations for example) require veterinary Health Certification. There is a $10 fee for this in addition to the adoption fee. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-11-02-00039Ayla (female)|
Ayla is a very smart dog, who is often head strong, and very loving. She loves to go to the dog park, and for walks, though she has a very strong pull on the leash. She loves attention, and her belly rubbed. Unfortunately, she is becoming increasingly nervous around our 13 month old, and we have been unsuccessful at correcting the behavior. She would be a great dog for older children. She is always happy whenever someone comes to the door, and greets everyone with a hearty 'Hello.' She does get very excited when she sees a cat or dog, but shows no sign of aggression upon interaction. She is a dominant alpha dog. She has been raised with a male black lab, a female chihuahua, and an cat with no problems. (Less)

Bloodhound Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. Bloodhounds are extremely good natured dogs that are exceptionally patient and gentle with children. Bloodhounds love affection and attention. Bloodhounds have a stubborn streak and a mind of their own; they need firm training and discipline. Bloodhounds are friendly and devoted to their masters. Bloodhounds are prized for their ability to follow any scent; this makes them likely to wander off if not kept on a leash. Bloodhounds need daily exercise but are fairly laid back indoors and so do okay in an apartment as long as they have regular opportunities to be active and take walks.
