Bloodhound Mix    Age: Puppy

Stella was born around mid October 2013 and weighs approximately 56 pounds as of May 2014. She loves people and loves to explore inside and outside. She is a scent hound, so the more smells the better. She will need a physical fence. She is up to date on shots, spayed, housebroken and knows how to SIT. She also uses the doggy door. She is working on OFF and coming when called. Treats are a good way of training for her. She is crate trained and has a comfy bed to sleep in. She does enjoy lounging in the chair when it is time to chill. She loves to ride in the car and is doing well with leash training too. She is very smart, and cute. If you ... Rescue Me ID: 14-09-09-00447Paz (female)

Bloodhound    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Paz is a sweet, energetic, smart dog who responds well to training. She does want to be dominant and challenges other dogs, especially ones who are ill or submissive, and children. We rescued her 1 month ago and were not told this information, and have children and an aging dog. We can't keep her, but don't want anything to happen to her. She loves affection and would be great with someone willing to devote time and attention to her training and her care. We won't let her go to just anyone, but will carefully screen potential new owners.

Bloodhound Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. Bloodhounds are extremely good natured dogs that are exceptionally patient and gentle with children. Bloodhounds love affection and attention. Bloodhounds have a stubborn streak and a mind of their own; they need firm training and discipline. Bloodhounds are friendly and devoted to their masters. Bloodhounds are prized for their ability to follow any scent; this makes them likely to wander off if not kept on a leash.
