Big and beautiful, with a lovely, sweet temperament. Rather independent and does not compete for attention. The problem is he does not like being contained in a house or fenced in yard. He is a hound dog (perhaps not bloodhound) and needs to be in a location where he can run free in the country or enjoy frequent trips to a dog park where he can run free. If you plan to keep him confined, he is not the dog for you.

I brought this beautiful Bloodhound (?) home a week ago. I picked her up as a stray after she had been living in the woods for four weeks. She gets along fine with my dog, but they are not bonding as well as I had wanted. Our house is too small for both dogs and we do not have a fenced in yard. She needs lots of room to run and we just can't offer that to her. If she has been trained before I don't know what commands were used, so she will need someone who has time to train her. I don't know that she would be a good hunting dog. She was extremely fearful of people at first but seems to be fine now, just seems anxious on occasion. She is a sweet dog, and very lovable. (Less)

Hi, I'm Elvis. You could say I'm The King of M'Shoogy's - I've got the personality for it. I'm a happy guy that's great with little kids and housebroken too! There is one thing you need to know, I love to explore. So, I need a home with a very high fence, preferably a privacy fence so I don't get tempted to run. Come pay me a visit; you'll be saying you can't help falling in love!

Bloodhound Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. Bloodhounds are extremely good natured dogs that are exceptionally patient and gentle with children. Bloodhounds love affection and attention. Bloodhounds have a stubborn streak and a mind of their own; they need firm training and discipline. Bloodhounds are friendly and devoted to their masters. Bloodhounds are prized for their ability to follow any scent; this makes them likely to wander off if not kept on a leash. Bloodhounds need daily exercise but are fairly laid back indoors and so do okay in an apartment as long as they have regular opportunities to be active and take walks.
