My Boyfriend and I are looking for a good home for Bud. Bud showed up one day in the early summer at my boyfriends home. We took him to the vet to see if he had a chip, posted him on craigslist, and ask around for well over a month. In the meantime, we had become attached to Bud. We started taking him to camp and my boyfriend built him a shelter outside. I eventually took him back to the vet for a complete one over and got him a chip. I was told that Bud had Lime Disease, worms, etc. so we had him treated. Since he was a stray we have no idea how old Bud is. The vet said around 5 by his teeth and condition. As summer came to a close ... (Read More)it was very clear that we could not bring Bud in the house. Bud was clearly a hunting dog because he has not been trained at all. So my boyfriend lined Bud's nice size home with a lot of hay and insulated the structure so that Bud could live outside over the winter. On the really cold nights we have brought him into the garage to keep him out of the subzero weather. We feel that he would be much better with a family that has a barn or farm where he can stay. He has gotten off of his run several times and he jumps the fence that we have. I hate to see him go but living tied up to a chain outside is no way for a Bloodhound to live. I have raised my 12 year old 75lb dog so I know he can never be an inside dog. I am afraid he is going to break out on day and get hurt. He is so darling and we love him very much. I can send you a picture if you email me. Please help me find Bud a good home. (Less)
